Greg Macklem

Greg Macklem has served as the math content director for the AP Teacher Investment Program since 2017. He previously taught AP Calculus and statistics at Tri-West Hendricks Jr/Sr High School (Lizton, IN) and Elkhart Memorial High School (Elkhart, IN), starting the AP Calculus program at both schools. He has also taught Calculus I and II at Bethel College (Mishawaka, IN) and the University of Notre Dame and serves currently as a tutoring facilitator with the Notre Dame Learning Resource Center. He has served as a consultant for the National Math and Science Initiative and presented regularly at NCTM and NSTA conferences. During his tenure as a high school teacher, Mr. Macklem received a Lilly Teacher Creativity Fellowship and Milken National Educator Award. Mr. Macklem earned his B.S. in mathematics and biology from the University of Michigan and has an MS.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University and an M.A. in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Notre Dame. 

Mr. Macklem also holds Indiana teaching certification in mathematics, biology, chemistry, and physical science.
